I do ridiculous things like this.
Instead of carving anything this year, I was inspired by an old Dante’s Inferno etching by Gustave Dore. I used a Sharpie and drew on a white pumpkin. I had planned to draw the art around the entire pumpkin, but after a couple of hours, I decided to cover the rest with black paint. 🙂
Still works! Maybe even better.
I’ve asked visitors to my other blog to stop by here to read a bonus panel from a recent parody strip. Here it is–!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you read some Dirtnap while you’re here! 🙂
(And, if you were already here, Thanks for that too!!!)
If you’re enjoying Dirtnap, you might also try another of my comics, Halo and Sprocket, on Comixology. These books contain a series of short stories starring an angel, a robot, and a young, single woman. The stories are humorous and quirky. The art is simpler than Dirtnap, but hopefully still impactful.
Here’s a zombie image of mine that has found it’s way around the internet. You can buy it officially on Threadless, as a multitude of products, or at Inked Gaming as a playmat or a cool journal. (The arm’s on the front cover and the zombie’s on the back!)
Btw, this guy will show up, more or less, in Dirtnap on page 63.
